Web SOUTHERN TRADITION

Kate Morton grew up showing Saddlebreds, raced Standardbreds for many years, then got back into field trialing, which she grew up around.

Her dad, Henry Weil, always had field trial horses and bird dogs.  Henry loved a good dog and Kate does too. Kate's maternal grandfather (who died before she was born) had Standardbreds. She never knew her granddaddy, but he had his own 1/2 mile race track and top horses.

So, after college Kate spent some time racing Standardbreds, but she always rode Tennessee Walking Horses at the field trials with her father.

Continuing the family tradition, Kate moved on to training Tennessee Walking Horses and  raising pointer puppies.

Now she trains her own stock, and sells them, as well as brokering some stock for other people.  She is doing what she loves, and only keeps a few nice horses for sale at a time.
